Letterkenny Rovers-Cockhill Celtic Cup tie is postponed due to waterlogged pitch

THIS AFTERNOON’S big FAI Intermediate Cup first round game between Letterkenny Rovers and Cockhill Celtic has been postponed.

Leckview Park has been deemed unplayable and the game has been shelved to a later date.

Rovers were finalists in the competition last season, losing 5-0 to Crumlin United at Aviva Stadium in May, and had overcome Cockhill at this stage last year.

Cockhill have won the last four Ulster Senior League titles and Gavin Cullen’s team are also hopefuls of challenging at the latter stages of the Intermediate Cup.

A new date will be confirmed by officials in due course.
