LETTERKENNY INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY will take on Waterford Institute of Technology in the independent.ie Trench Cup semi-final next week.
On Friday-week, February 19, Eamon O’Boyle’s team will take on WIT in one of the semi-finals, to be held at Ulster University, Jordanstown.
LyIT comfortably dispatched of Cavan Institute yesterday in a quarter-final at O’Donnell Park, won by the Port Road students 6-11 to 0-1.
That win has qualified them for finals weekend at UUJ. Waterford IT defeated IT Blanchardstown 0-14 to 1-09 in their quarter-final yesterday evening.
LyIT welcomed double All-Star Neil Gallagher back into their ranks yesterday. Gallagher was part of the last LyIT team to taste Trench Cup glory in 2005.
