Due to inclement weather conditions of the past week no competitions were held in Letterkenny Golf Club.
Indeed, there was very little golf played anywhere due to these weather conditions. However, Letterkenny Golf Club hosted a most enjoyable evening on Thursday in Browns on the Green.

Guest Speaker Willie McCarter of Fruit of the Loom and The international Fund for Ireland regaled the capacity audience with personal insights into the operation of the Fund.
The Captain John Bowe presented a book by Declan O’Carroll on the Centenary Year of Letterkenny Golf Club between 1913 to 2012.
Browns on the Green provided their special offer to the attendees of a Three Course a La Carte Menu, matching wines with each course. A good night was had by all.
Browns on the Green have extended this offer every Friday night of a Three Course a La Carte Menu, matching wines with each course.  It’s exceptional value at €29.95.
Cards continue to be played every Wednesday night and the Club Quiz continues every Friday night.
The course in Letterkenny has recovered exceptionally well after this short spell of snow and frost and is open this weekend.
Please note that a GUI Change of Rules Local Briefing has been scheduled for Monday February 11 at 7pm in Letterkenny Golf Club.
Members from both clubs , (Letterkenny and Ballybofey/Stranorlor) will be asked to use the BRS booking system for this event so we can plan and facilitate members attending.
