Letterkennty Golf Club: On Monday, August 28, the Junior Captains Competition was held and James O’Donnell won with 43 points.
Cian Harkin came in second with 41 points (bot) and Ronal Daly took third place with 41 points. Good scoring by all.
On Wednesday 30/08/17 the Value Centre Wholesale Open was played. There was a big turnout for this competition.
Tony Duffy (recently a rising star) won this competition with an excellent 42 points having got 6 pars in the process. Damien Redmond was runner up with 41 points. (bot) and third place went to Cian Harkin with 41 points. Gross went to Jamie Foley with an excellent 40 points.
On Saturday 02/09/17 The Zeus Industrial Products Open was run. Play was off the Blue Markers. Diarmad Coll won this competition with 36 points. having holed 8 pars on his way around the course. Ray Devenney came in close behind with 35 points. and Tim O’Farrell came in third with a respectable 34 points. Gross went to the ever consistent Darragh McMenamin with 32 points.
On Sunday 03/09/17 Liam Sweeney won the Members Competition with 39 points. having got 2 birdies and 9 pars. Shaun Harley came in second with 38 points. and Martin E. Kelly third with 37 points.
The Cat 4 competition over 11 holes on Monday 28/08/17 was won by Cathal Sheridan with an excellent 24 points.
Congratulations to the Seamus Farren leading the Donegal League team who have progressed to the Semi final after defeating Cloughaneely Golf Club in a tough but sporting match. Having lost by 4 matches to 1 in Cloughaneely the home team secured 4 matches and won the tie by virtue of more holes won.

Peter Dobson took his team to Ballyliffin on Sunday 03/09/17 to play in the semifinal of the Donegal Junior League.
Letterkenny secured the three matches needed against Dunfanaghy to reach the Club’s first ever Donegal Junior League final. Wins were posted by David McCormick, Eunan McGarrigle & Kevin Hensey. Letterkenny now face Ballybofey & Stranolar in Ballyliffin on Sunday 24th September. Congratulations to all concerned a great win.
The Ladies went to Bangor also on Sunday 03/09/17 to compete in the Ulster Final of the Junior Cup. While they played excellent golf, however on the day, they were beaten 3/2. To reach the Ulster Final was a great achievement.
