The U-14 hurlers from Letterkenny Gaels won the County ‘B’ Hurling Championship after they defeated Burt at Pairc na nGael on Thursday evening.
Both teams are well acquainted with each other and recently met in the Ulster Féile final.
From the outset the Gaels showed their intent with Neil O’Baoighill causing major headaches for the determined Burt defence.
This was a great sporting game of hurling with both sides battling until the final whistle.
Ultimately, it was the home side who took the win and County Hurling Chairman, Manus O’Donnell was on hand to present the Liam Emery Shield to the victorious Gaels team.
