Letterkenny Gaels are through to the Quarter Finals of the Junior B championship after a three-point win over Glenswilly on Saturday evening in Pairc Naomh Columba.

The hosts were very much on top in the opening quarter as they raced into a four point lead with some fine long range scores from Stephen O’Donnell (0-2), Conor Harkin (0-2) and Conor McGinty with the Gaels’ (pictured above) opening score coming from centre-forward Charlie Creevy.
Odhran McMacken, Creevy and Aaron Stewart reduced the defect to a single point before the Glen were awarded a penalty on 26 minutes which was duly converted by corner forward Kevin Cunningham. The sides went in at the break with the Glen men leading by four points –Â Glenswilly 1-5Â Letterkenny Gaels 0-4.
The visitors gradually took control in the second half and opened brightly with points from McMacken and Aidan Hanley, before midfielder Mikey Harte finished to the net on the 43rd minute. Creevy and McMacken added further scores for the visitors as Gaels went on to take the points.
