Leah Gallen aims to hit high five in Irish U18 final

RAPHOE ABC welterweight Leah Gallen flies the Donegal flag at the National Under-18 Championships as she bids for a fifth national crown.

Gallen, a European Junior bronze medalist last year, faces Kildare hotshot Mary Enright in Saturday’s 69kgs final at the National Stadium.

Earlier this year, Gallen defeated Linda Desmond from Ryland in the Girl 6 66kgs final and she returns to the South Circular Road canvas on Saturday.

The prize at stake will be a place on the Irish team for the European Youth Championships, which are being held in Sofia, Bulgaria, from September 2-11.
