A late goal by Jamie Doherty and a late point from the impressive Niall O’Donnell ensured that St. Eunans left the Bridge with all two points on Saturday evening.

O’Donnell (pictured) hit seven points in all, but home side will be disappointed not to have taken at least a share of the points.
Niall O’Donnell opened the scoring for the visitors with a point after just 7 seconds Colin McFadden hit a quick fire equaliser and it was nip and tuck in the first half with Niall O’Donnell slotting over another 4 points and Conor Gibbons and Niall Hannigan getting the others. The home side replied with three points from Daniel McLaughlin and Andrew Kelly and a fine effort from the evergreen Christy Toye. The home side were left to rue a penalty miss early one when Eunans Keeper Blake in the Eunans goal saved Andrew Kelly’s effort.
The half time score was St. Michael’s 0-6 St. Eunans 0-6.
Gibbons opened the scoring again in the second half but again the home side came back and O’Donnell with three for Eunans was cancelled out by three from Andrew Kelly who also added points from Colin McFadden and Odhrán McFadden from the home side. Rory Cavanagh saw his goal bound point being tipped over the bar by Michael’s keeper Aaron Bowyer before Jimmy Doherty scored the decisive goal, Niall O’Donnell completed the scoring for St. Eunans to seal a five point victory.
