Kilcar struck two late goals to bag an 11-point win over Aodh Ruadh in Ballyshannon this afternoon.
Aodh Ruadh 2-6 Kilcar 3-14
Aodh Ruadh led 1-3 to 0-5 at half-time with Shane McGrath netting the first of two goals he would score in the seventh minute.
Sean Taylor made a couple of telling saves to keep Kilcar at bay and Aodh Ruadh deservedly held sway at the break.
But Kilcar, spurred by Mark McHugh and Stephen McBrearty, hit back in the second half.
Mark Sweeney bagged the first goal for the Towney men.
McGrath did get a second late in the game, but Barry McGinley and Ciaran McGinley (pictured) found the net to cap a good afternoon for Barry Doherty’s men.
