THE DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE of the Donegal League have ordered that the last 17 minutes of an abandoned game be played.
On Sunday-week last, the CT Ball Division Two game between Deele Harps and Ballybofey United at the Athletic Grounds in Lifford was abandoned in the 73rd minute by referee Barry Hunter.
The referee called the teams off after spectators encroached onto the field of play.
Shane Gallagher’s goal had Deele 1-0 ahead at the time.
Disciplinary chiefs met on Thursday night and ruled that the last 17 minutes be played and will begin with Deele 1-0 in front and will again be under the watch of Hunter.
A date has not been pencilled in for the meeting.
Deele are in the hunt to win the Division and if they held onto the 1-0 advantage against Ballybofey they’d be two points clear of Glenree United at the top with a game in hand.
