KILMACRENNAN CELTIC put in a devastating performance – with Joshua Bradley grabbing three – to overcome Swilly Rovers in the Under-14 Champions League final at Dry Arch Park tonight.
Kilmacrennan Celtic 6-1 Swilly Rovers
Conor Black’s brace  and a boomer from Bobby McGettigan completed the win, with Swilly finally getting some reward for their efforts late on when Kyle McMullan was on target.
Kilmacrennan hit the front after only six minutes when Bradley, despite the attention of two defenders, forced the ball home after a great run and cross on the left by Conor Black.
It was 2-0 some 10 minutes later when Conor Black headed home a free-kick from deep by Stephen Black.
Swilly almost pulled one back on 21 minutes when Patrick McGarvey in the Kilmacrennan goals saved superbly from Frankie Campbell.
The Ramelton side continued to press before the break but Kilmacrennan held firm.
On 36 minutes, the first minute of the second half, Kilmacrennan scored what was in retrospect the clincher when Conor Black slid to finish superbly after Bradley’s assist.
It was soon 4-0 when Bradley got his second after a couple of blocked shots in the Swilly penalty, with Aaron Gallagher right in the mix.
Bradley then completed his hat-trick when he intercepted a back pass to walk the ball home on 47 minutes, rounding Swilly goalkeeper Kyle Burns.
And it was six when McGettigan scored an audacious long-ranger from just inside the Swilly half and his shot sailed over Burns on 56 minutes.
