BONAGEE UNITED made their exit from the FAI Intermediate Cup after a heavy defeat by top Leinster Senior League outfit Killester United this afternoon at Hadden Park.

Peter Moran’s team were soundly beaten and will be left to concentrate on League and Cup matters closer to home for the remainder of the campaign.
The Dry Arch men had decent chances fall to Dean Larkin and Aidan McLaughlin early on, but it was Killester who opened the scoring on 35 minutes.
Stephen Downing’s ball in from the left reached Mick Keogh, who made no mistake from six yards.
Right on the blow of the half-time whistle, Killester doubled the advantage and it was a poor goal from a Bonagee perspective as Keogh was allowed to run from deep, unchallenged, before riffling home from the edge of the box.
Six minutes after the break, they made it three. David Lacey’s shot was parried by Eugene Ferry, but only as far as Alan Talbot, who stooped low to head to the net.
Jamie Lynagh and Larkin came close to pulling a goal back, but Killester sewed it up on 64 minutes when Talbot centred for Stephen Chambers to score.
