RAMELTON NATIVE KIERAN MURRAY has today won the gold medal in golf at the European Transplant & Dialysis Sports Championships.
The championships are currently taking place at Vantaa in Finland and Murray messaged: “Just to let everyone know I got gold today at the golf. Thanks again for all your support.”
[adrotate group=”38″]Murray won two gold medals – in the 5K road race and the 1500m – in his age group (30-39 years) and also picked up a bronze in the 800m at Mar del Plata last year at the World Transplant Games in Argentina.
Twelve months beforehand, the Milford AC member – has had two kidney transplants – won three gold medals from last year’s European Transplant and Dialysis Games that took place in Krakow, Poland.
