IT WASN’T FOR the faint hearted as Kevin McHugh to Twitter this evening following an injury that means his season at Finn Harps might well be over.
The 36-year-old striker tweeted from Hospital following a nasty finger injury that saw the skin disjointed today when his wedding ring got wedged as he attempted to jump over a fence to retrieve a football.

McHugh was coaching at the Donegal Soccer Academy, which he runs. He is on his way for surgery at Galway University Hospital having been transferred from Letterkenny.

McHugh, a native of Killea who has also played for Derry City and Linfield, has scored 186 goals in 438 appearances for Harps.
