GOLF remains the sole flag-bearer of competitive sport in Donegal now – and for one golfer it was a historic weekend with a first ever hole-in-one!
Kevin McFadden aced the 12th hole at Portsalon Golf Club while competing in the Gents Members competition.
The competition was won by James Durning’s 41 points with Brendan Gallagher second on 39 points.
A big highlight of the day was Kevin’s hole-in-one on the 12th.
Playing partner James Friel has speculated he judged it to coincide with the government closing the pubs in order to save getting a round in afterwards!
