HARRY Doherty says he wants to ‘hit the ground running’ after signing with Portadown.
The Buncrana man has signed at Shamrock Park for the 2021/22 Irish League season.
The former Republic of Ireland underage international has had spells at Carrick Rangers, Finn Harps and Crusaders. At Crusaders, Doherty won an Irish Cup in 2019, playing in the 3-0 final win over Ballinamallard.
Doherty also turned out for his native Cockhill Celtic since returning from Brighton and Hove Albion in 2016.
He said: I’m really happy to get the deal done and just can’t wait to the new season now.
“Really looking forward to meeting up with the team and hope to hit the ground running.”
