GORTAHORK’S KAREN FEENEY was named Player of the Tournament as Queen Margaret University won the British Universities Championship in Manchester over the weekend.
Feeney (pictured below) – formerly of Cloughaneely – was part of the Donegal team that won the 2010 All-Ireland Intermediate Football Championship and is currently playing with Scotland and Dunedin Connolly’s in Edinburgh whilst undertaking a Masters in Physiotherapy.
Queen Margaret University beat St Mary’s from Twickenham 2-12 to 2-5 in the final having overcome Coventry University 5-10 to 1-5 in the semi-final.
