Hard luck to our club player Saoirse Bonner.
She was part of the Donegal U-14 team who lost out to Tipperary in the All Ireland final replay in Tuam on Saturday.
The club are mighty proud of Saoirse on her achievements to date as a Club & County player and we have no doubt Saoirse’s name will featured on future Donegal teams. Again our Saoirse’s0 Army Supporters Bus made the Journey to Tuam and the wee girls cheered to the final whistle for Saoirse and the Donegal Girls.
Our Senior ladies were defeated by Dungloe in the 2nd leg of the quarter finals of the Donegal Junior A championship in the Banks on Sunday. Due to a higher score difference over the two legs we push on to the county semi finals where our opponents will be Buncrana.
Our minors (ladies) play this Thursday against Cloich Cheann Fhaola in Falcarrach at 7pm. The under 16 leagues (ladies) start on the 21st July. U-12 Blitz day is now changed to the 25th July, venue tbc.
Ticket distribution will take place on Thursday 16th in the Clubhouse from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. Club Donegal gear and remaining membership cards can also be collected at that time. The bus for the Ulster final will leave Annagry car park at 08:30am. This will get everyone up in time to watch the minor final.
Our seniors had a disappointing result in Bundoran on Saturday evening where the home team collected the league points. The reserves continued their fine run of form with another excellent win in the earlier game on Saturday evening. Both teams are in league action again this weekend when we welcome C.L.G. Naomh Columba to the Banks.
The club held a very successful U-10 blitz on Saturday. A great day’s fun was had by all. Thanks to everyone who helped out with preparing and supplying the food for the day. Thanks also to CL.G. An Chlochán Leith and C.L.G. na gCeithre MaistrĂ for contributing to a great day for the children.
The first CĂşl Camp to be held at the club is underway this week (13th – 17th July).
