Joseph Duffy made it two from two in the UFC with a first round victory over Ivan George at UFC Fight Night 72 at the SSE Hyrdo in Glasgow tonight.
The Meenbanad native got his Brazilian opponent into an arm bar triangle three minutes and it was over five seconds into the opening round. George had tapped out and referee Neil Hall called a halt to proceedings.
Twenty-seven-year-old Duffy has won now nine times by submission with his record currently standing at 14-1, with his other victory in the UFC coming in Dallas in May, when he overcame Jake Lindsey in the lightweight division, also in the first round.
Duffy previously contested in MMA, where he famously defeated current interim UFC champion Conor McGregor in Cork at Cage Warriors 39 in Cork.
