Joseph Duffy could make his return to the octagon in March.
The Burtonport man has fought only six times since signing with the UFC in 2015 and has been plagued by injuries of late.
Duffy, who is 17-3 as a mixed martial artist and 4-2 with the UFC, has not fought since November 2017 when he was stopped by James Vick.
Wins over Reza Madadi and Mitch Clarke got Duffy back on track after a January 2016 loss to Dustin Poirier in Las Vegas.
“We’re probably going to see Joe Duffy around maybe March 9th or March 30th,” his manager Ali Abdelaziz said.
“I’m talking to Sean Shelby right now, the matchmaker, trying to get him booked back. I had the pleasure of talking to him in Vegas.
“He’s so talented but he’s been out for a long time, and he’s gotta come back and make a splash. He’s hungry, man. He’s hungry to get in there.”
Abdelaziz was speaking in an interview with MMA Fighting.
