‘BUNCRANA BANGER’ John Hutchinson made a successful ring return on Saturday night.
Following a frustrating 20-month absence from the squared circle, the 29-year-old middleweight came back with a 39-38 points win over Darryl Sharp on Saturday night.
At the Holte Suite in Villa Park, Hutchinson overcame Sharpe for a first win in three years to take the Inishowen man to 6-2-2 as a pro.
Hutchinson had been based in Thailand and, more recently, Marbella, since suffering a loss to Danny Shannon at Villa Park in September 2014.
Hutchinson is a former Irish title challenger having been beaten by Peter McDonagh for the vacant Irish super-welterweight title in March 2014 at the Rivermead Leisure Centre.
