Janine Boyle takes bronze at Scottish Championships

JANINE Boyle won a bronze medal at the Scottish Senior Athletics Championships at the weekend.

The Finn Valley woman took bronze in the 200m final.

Boyle finished in 25.05 seconds in a race won by Taylah Spence or Orkney in 24.86 seconds. Lois Garland was the silver medalist in 24.98 seconds.

Boyle was competing for the Tweed Leader Jed Track club.

Boyle finished fourth in the 10m final in 12.16 seconds.

At Finn Valley AC, Boyle has five Irish gold medals, including an U17 100m gold.

Boyle competed in the 200m at the 2016 European Youth Championships, reaching the semi-final, and was on the Irish squad for the 2016 World Under-20 Championships.
