Donegal Town’s Jack Keaney scored his first senior goal for Sligo Rovers tonight as the Bit O’Red overcame bottom club Bray Wanderers.
Keaney netted in a 2-1 win at the Showgrounds that lifts Sligo into seventh spot.
Cory Gavin’s late goal made for a tense finale, but Sligo were in no danger of letting their advantage slip.
Keaney came through Sligo’s underage sides before being elevated into the first team squad last season.
Keaney headed home after Greg Moorhouse steered an Adam Wixted cross into the danger zone.
Soon after, Eduardo Pinceli got on the mark for his first senior goal to double the lead.
