Injury forces Quigley to withdraw from Texas bout

JASON QUIGLEY HAS had to withdraw from his planned fight next month because of an injury.

The Ballybofey man was pencilled in for his 12^th professional fight on September 17 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Quigley was set to be part of the undercard to the Canelo-Smith junior middleweight title bout, but the 25-year-old Donegalman (11-0) will now have a watching brief that night.

Quigley has had only two fights this year so far, beating Freddy Lopez in the first round of their contest at Fantasy Springs in March before going eight rounds with James De la Rosa in May.
