MOVILLE WILL PLAY host to Donegal ladies’ second outing in the Lidl Ladies’ National Football League Division 2 against Laois on Sunday, throw-in 2pm.
Michael Naughton’s side will be looking to make it two wins from two at Carrick Field, Carnagarve, following their victory in Westmeath last Sunday.
Bundoran had been mooted as to host the fixture but it’s since been confirmed as Moville.
Two late goals from Amber Barrett and one from Yvonne McMonagle (pictured above) sealed the 2-4 to 0-8 win.
Moville is the home club of Donegal captain Niamh Hegarty, while her clubmates Niamh McLaughlin, Ciara Hegarty and Blathaid McLaughlin are all part of the panel. Last year, former manager Davy McLaughlin – also part of the Moville club – managed Donegal to a first Ulster SFC title.
Laois lost their opening fixture last weekend to Clare 4-9 to 1-4 at Sarsfield, Mountmellick.
John Niland will officiate.
