QPS RESERVES AND AILEACH RESERVES did the business yesterday to book their place in the revamped Inishowen League First Division.
The top four in the Reserve Premier Division will go into the First Division next season and QPS Reserve and Aileach Reserves will join Clonmany and Sea Rovers in making the step up.

QPS secured the point they needed to be part of the revamped First Division next season when they played out a scoreless draw against Rovers who finished as runners up.
The point started the better with Paul Grant releasing Josh McLaughlin who fired over the bar before Grant got on the end of Ultan McCool’s cross but from 12 yards blazed over.
Rovers replied with Graham Morgan firing a 25-yard effort just wide. On the half hour mark Anthony Cantwell for Rovers was well placed inside the area but under pressure from Christy Harkin fired wide.
Before the break home keeper David Bell made a superb save low to his right from a Tiernan Stephens effort.
The Point started the second period well and after a neat one two with Josh McLaughlin, Denim McLaughlin saw his effort well saved by Glen Watson.
On 56 minutes Sam McCorkell fired straight at Watson from 12 yards.
Midway through the half Simon Wallace broke from the back to the edge of the area but he fired straight at Watson.
Rovers had the final chance following a corner on 83 minutes but Cantwell headed over.
Aileach Reserves 2 Clonmany Reserves 0
AILEACH Reserves booked their place in the First Division next season witha deserved 2-0 win over champions Clonmany.
Aileach flew out of the blocks and took the lead in the second minute when Benny Hegartys cross eluded everyone in the box and was met by Matthew Doherty from 25 yards who fired into the top corner past Liam McGonagle.
Fifteen minutes in Stephen Doherty ran on to a Matthew Doherty through ball but McGonagle saved well with an outstretched leg.
Aaron Harkin had a great chance for Clonmany on the half hour when he pounced on a defensive mistake to race clear but he fired wide from eighteen yards.
Stephen Doherty had the final chance of the half when his stinging drive from the edge of the area was parried wide by McGonagle.
Clonmany had the first chance of the second half when Paddy Harkin fired just wide of John Roulstone’s left hand post from the edge of the box.
[adrotate group=”62″]Aileach spurned a great chance to increase their lead on the hour when Caolan Mailey’s through ball left Stephen Doherty with a one on one with McGonagle but the Clonmany man stood firm saving Doherty’s shot with his legs.
With ten minutes to go Doherty had another effort that was well held by McGonagle.
Aileach wrapped up the game with five minutes to go when Matthew Doherty beat his man and crossed into the box where Ciaran Craig side-footed the ball into the bottom corner from ten yards.
Clonmany pushed to get back into the game but the closest they came is when Aaron Harkin fired a free kick over the wall from 25 yards but Roulstone got across to tip the ball over the bar and preserve his clean sheet.
