Carrowmena will be left wondering how it wasn’t two-nil few minutes later again Trevor Kanes long ball over the top, found Jude Harkin. He skipped past his marker and with only the keeper to beat from 8 yards somehow hit the ball wide.
This spurred QPS on  and on the 17th minutes they got their first goal as Josh McLaughlin slipped through the defence and slotted ball past the outrushing McGeady for 1-1.
The away side took the lead in the 23rd minute. After the ball failed to be cleared out from Carrowmena’s defence, Joe Johnson toe-poked home.
QPS then scored two quickfire goals, the third a header in over the keeper from a corner and good work by Johnston to cross to Paul Hegarty to slot home for a 4-1 lead.

THIS was a high scoring game with the lead changing hands.

Billy McCann got one back for Moville and then two late goals from Eamonn Reddin and Charlie Gill gave the home side all three points
Cockhill Youths 2 Aileach Reserves 3
THE visitors took the lead early on when Declan Caldwell’s goal kick was headed back over the defence by James Gillespie to Anthony Doherty (S) and he rounded the keeper to put his side ahead.
Cockhill responded and McGeady had to save from Daniel M Doherty after Darragh Mc Dermott’s initial free was blocked.
The lead was increased when Conor McMackin, free inside the area, managed to hook the ball past Caldwell.
The home side got back into the game when Sean Doherty, positioned at the back post, fired past McGeady.
The game then developed into a midfield battle until the hour mark when Cockhill equalised.
Daniel Martin Doherty delivered forward to James Mc Gonagle and when his toe poked effort came back off the upright Thomas Doherty was on hand to hit the ball home from close in.
At this stage the home side looked the more likely to score but Aileach were looking very dangerous on the break with Anthony Shivey prominent.
McFeeley missed a great opportunity for Aileach when he drove over the bar from close in but they did claim victory right at the death when Adam Barr broke the offside trap and shot low past Caldwell.
Illies Celtic 6 Redcastle United 0
IN WHAT was a clearcut victory, Illies broke the deadlock when a through ball from Stephen Doherty was slotted home by Michael Coyle.
Half way through the opening period the score was doubled after Coyle accepted a pass from John Pio Donaghey and drove low past Michael McCole.
Redcastle’s best chance of the half came from Ryan Duffy but he could only fire straight at Noone.
On 55 minutes Coyle claimed his hat-trick when some sloppy play in the visiting defence allowed him to gain possession, advance on goal and score.
They made it 4–0 when Dominic Owen Coyle’s corner was headed across goal by Paddy Doherty for Ryan McElhinney to convert at the back post.
Dominic Owen Coyle claimed the last two goals and completed the scoring. His first came from an attempt that squeezed under McCole and then he broke into the box to fire home from close in.
Clonmany Reserves 2 Sea Rovers 0
CLONMANY opened the scoring after a quarter of an hour when Jack Doherty sent Watson the wrong way when converting from the spot after he himself had been impeded.
They doubled the scoreline mid way through the half. The inrushing Dessie Doherty and the advancing Watson both challenged for a long forward delivery.
The ball broke favourably for Doherty and he managed to force the ball home. Sea Rovers came more into the match after this with Gary Doherty prominent in midfield but it was the home side who came closest just before the break.
Michael Harkin’s 20 yard shot was tipped over by Watson and from the resulting corner Jake Harkin headed over at the back post.
Sea Rovers made a double substitution at half time and the introduction of John Doherty and Martin Ward helped their cause.
On 53 minutes a Gary Doherty header broke to Tiernan Stevens and his rising shot cleared the crossbar.
At the other end Dessie Riley’s header fell to Martin Kelly and he drove wide of a post at the second attempt.
Clonmany almost got a third when Riley advanced and laid the ball back to John Porter whose curled shot hit a post before being cleared.
