ILLIES GOLDEN GLOVES boxer Chloe McDaid has been selected to represent Ireland in a historic international next week in Dublin.
McDaid has been confirmed as part of 10-woman Irish team that will take on England next Friday at the National Stadium in Dublin.
It will be the first ever schoolgirl international to take place in Ireland and will included rising Illies ace McDaid.
Back in May, McDaid also created history when she won the Irish Girl 3 50kgs crown in defeating Sinainn Glynn from Cloghan, County Offaly.
In doing so, she became the first female from the Illies Golden Gloves club to win an Irish title.
