Aodh Ruadh had it all their own way as they scythed past an understrength Gaeil Fhánada at Fr Tierney Park.
Aodh Ruadh 5-12 Gaeil Fhánada 0-7
After a narrow win at Naomh Muire last weekend, Aodh Ruadh didn’t leave a similar sweat this time around as they cruised to a 20-point win.
David Dolan helped himself to 3-3 of the hosts’ tally, while Nathan Boyle and Johnny Gethins also scored goals for the Ernesiders.
It was looking ominous for the Fanad men – who were missing the presence of Michael Sweeney around midfield – when Dolan slotted home after just four minutes.
That goal helped Aodh Ruadh to lead by seven, 1-6 to 0-2, at half-time.
Boyle, Dolan and Gethins hit goals in the first ten minutes of the second half to put daylight between them and Dolan completed his hat-trick to twist the knife even further.
