Homecoming reception on Monday for Irish champ Leah Gallen

NEWLY-CROWNED Irish boxing champion Leah Gallen will be honoured at a function tomorrow evening.

Gallen won the fifth Irish title of her career yesterday when she overcame Mary Enright from Kildare in the women’s welterweight final at the Irish Under-18 Championships in Dublin.

Raphoe ABC star Gallen was the victor on a 3-2 split decision and the 2018 European Junior bronze medalist will now fight at the European Youth Championships in Bulgaria in September.

Tomorrow evening at 7pm, a homecoming reception will be held in her honour at the Villa Rose Hotel, Ballybofey and there is an open invite.
