FINN Harps have been handed a home tie in the first round of the 2020 Extra.ie FAI Cup.
Ollie Horgan’s men will host St Patrick’s Athletic at Finn Park in one of three first round ties.
The draw was conducted at FAI headquarters at Abbotstown this afternoon.
Thirteen clubs received byes with three first round fixtures drawn, including Harps’ home tie against Pat’s.
Last year, Harps exited the Cup in the first round after a 1-0 loss to Shamrock Rovers at Tallaght Stadium in August.
Only the 19 League of Ireland clubs were in the drum for today’s draw.
The non-League clubs, such as Ulster Senior League champions Cockhill Celtic, were not included as would usually be the case.
The FAI has also announced that the fixture list for the remaining fixtures of the current SSE Airtricity League season will be released on Monday.
The season which has been reduced to 18 rounds of matches will resume on 31 July.
First Round: Finn Harps v St Patrick’s Athletic, Dundalk v Waterford, Cork City v Longford Town.
Byes: Derry City, Cabinteely, Shelbourne, Bray Wanderers, Sligo Rovers, Wexford, Shamrock Rovers, Athlone Town, UCD, Galway United, Cobh Ramblers, Bohemians, Drogheda United.
