DAMIEN MCNULTY has been named on the Professional Footballers’ of Ireland (PFAI) First Division Team of the Year.
The Derry native, who plays at right-back or centre-back, was voted into the team by his fellow professionals.
McNulty joins Wexford Youths goalkeeper Graham Doyle and defender Ryan Delaney, as well as Tomás Boyle from UCD and Evan Osam of Shelbourne.
The goalkeeper and defence was named today, with the midfield on the Team of the Week announced tomorrow, Wednesday, and the forwards on Thursday.
McNulty recovered from a shoulder injury to return to first team action on Friday night as Harps drew 1-1 with Athlone Town.
The Ballybofey side round off their regulation season with a home fixture in the SSE Airtricity League First Division against Wexford Youths on Saturday night before, six nights’ later, facing UCD in the first leg of the promotion-relegation play-off.
