Doalty Sweeney took the honours in the TG4 sponsored competition at the weekend.
Doalty has been overshadowed in recent years since Francis took up golf but he proved that class is permanent at the weekend with a magnificent 63. Good lad Doalty. In second place was Piaras Coyle with a 66 and Danny Ferry in third with 68. Gross went to Pol Mulligan with a three over 74. The Category went to Paul “The Cat” McGee winning his 4th successive Cat in a row. The nines went to Hughie McBride with 33.5 and Michael Mhici with 28.5. Css was 68.
Team news update:
The Junior scratch team have advanced to semi finals after victory over northwest and will play Letterkenny or Strabane. The Donegal league team came out on the wrong side of a 3/2 home defeat against the holders Bundoran. The return leg is this Sunday 1:30.
