Greencastle FC’s Under-16 women’s team face Enniskerry FC from Wicklow in the WFAI U-16 National Cup semi-final on Sunday.
Patrick Keys’ team have home advantage at Chapel Lane as they face the Metropolitan Girls League side.
This Enniskerry team is expected to provide a stern examination of Greencastle’s credentials. They won the Under-14 Cup two years ago and will make the long journey full of confidence.
However, Greencastle are no slouches themselves and have already recorded home wins over Yeats United and Nenagh AFC while they have had away successes at Strand Celtic and Mount Merrion.
Kick off on Sunday at Chapel Lane is at 2pm.
