RAMELTON’S Kieran Murray has won a gold medal at the World Transplant Games in Argentina.
Murray won gold in the 5km road race (30-39 years) in Mar del Plata, recording a personal best time of 18 minutes 13 seconds.
Murray has had two kidney transplants and is set to take part in five events.
On top of the 5km road race, he will compete in the 1,500m, 800m, 200m and golf.
Murray will be looking to add to his impressive haul of three gold medals from last year’s European Transplant and Dialysis Games that took place in Krakow, Poland.
