A fourth minute goal by Dermot Molloy (pictured above) sent Naomh Conaill on their way and Seamus Corcoran netted a second for the Glenties team in the 51st minute.
Leon Thompson opened the scoring for the home side and it was from a quick Thompson free that Molloy got possession before blasting high into the net past Danny Rodgers for the early Naomh Conaill goal.
Eunan Doherty, Daragh Gallagher and Molloy tacked on points and Adrian Sweeney – who scored seven points – raised Dungloe’s first white flag in the 17th minute from a free.
Naomh Conaill led 1-6 to 0-3 at half-time and Leo McLoone stretched the margin with the first point of the second half.
Sweeney added a couple of frees for the visitors, but Corcoran riffled in a second Naomh Conaill goal nine minutes from the end.
Gerard Walsh, Adrian Sweeney and Mark Sweeney got late points for Dungloe, but Ultan Doherty’s last point gave Naomh Conaill a six-point win on a day when the goals ensured that the beads of sweat didn’t appear on the home side’s brows.
