Amber Barrett was on the mark this evening as Peamount United won their opening Women’s National League game of the season.
The Milford woman was the League’s top scorer in 2018 and has started how she left off.
Barrett netted Peamount’s first goal in a 2-1 win over Cork City Women at Greenogue.
All the goals arrived early as Peamount came from behind to win.
Katie McCabe bagged the game’s opener in the first minute before Barrett levelled on seven minutes.
Aine O’Gorman put Peamount – last year’s WFAI Cup finalists – ahead in the 23rd minute and it proved the winner.
