GLENWILLY HAVE CONFIRMED that Brendan Walsh will lead their senior team for the upcoming 2018 season.
The-three time county champions will see the long-serving mentor step into the role and 2012 All-Ireland winning midfielder Neil Gallagher and former Glenswilly, Cloughaneely and Finn Harps goalkeeper James Gallagher are expected to form part of Walsh’s backroom team.
Walsh takes over from Adrian Glackin, whose side were eliminated in the first round of the Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure Donegal SFC having lost to Kilcar and Goath Dobhair in a tricky group that also included Ardara. Glenswilly maintained their place in the top flight of the All-County Football League.
Glenswilly were county champions in 2011, 2013 and 2016, with Walsh a mentor on all three occasions.
