Glengad United are again the team to knock from the perch as the new Inishowen League season swings into action this afternoon.

Glengad have recruited Conor Barrow from QPS and have taken in Dillon Ruddy and Daniel Mullarkey from Culdaff to compensate for the departure of Shane Canning to Moville.
Greencastle are again under the charge of Pat McLaughlin and today’s clash at Chapel Lane promises to kick the season off with fireworks.
Aileach won three Cups last season and they host Buncrana Hearts at the Lakeside today.
Both are under new management, Aileach having appointed former Bonagee United boss Tony O’Carroll to succeed treble-winning manager David McGeady. Buncrana have gone back to the future with Stephen McNutt now in charge at Castle Park in a move with a long-term view in mind.
Aileach have lost the influence of Tommy McMonagle, who has gone to Bonagee, while Buncrana have bid farewell to Bart Wesolowski, who has joined Cockhill Celtic.
The other game today sees Carndonagh welcome Illies to St Patrick’s Park in another fixture that sees new managers in the dugouts.
John D O’Kane is the new man at the hem in Carn. O’Kane has brought Seamus Houghton and Ryan Kelly into his ranks in what seem like two astute signings while Aidan Doherty, the new Illies supremo, has added Liam Doherty, Paul Doherty, Philip Margey and Stephen Grant to their panel.
