GEORGIE KELLY was on the scoresheet last night, but couldn’t prevent UCD from making their exit from the SSE Airtricity Under-19 League.
UCD drew 1-1 against Cork City at St Colman’s Park in Cobh, but it was Cork who advanced to the final after a 4-2 win on penalties.
The former Aileach FC player, who switched to UCD in September from Derry City, scored a 36th minute equaliser after Connor Ellis had fired Cork in front seven minutes earlier.
Kelly expertly placed a header beyond the despairing dive of David Coffey in the Cork goal.
Kelly played 81 minutes and was replaced for the extra period. Cork will take on Limerick FC at Market’s Field in Sunday’s final.
