GEORGIE KELLY was the toast of the Belfield Bowl last night as he hit the winner for UCD in their 2-1 First Division win over Cabinteely FC.
The Fahan native joined UCD from Derry City at the latter end of 2015 and recently won the Collingwood Cup.
Kelly scored a brace in a pre-season win over Finn Harps and has impressed Collie O’Neill, the UCD boss.
Last night, Kelly struck his first goal for UCD in the League of Ireland as the Students edged their derby game.
Maxi Kouogun headed them into an early lead and Kelly struck the winner after Ben Hanrahan equalised for Cabinteely.
Ryan Swan made the pass and Kelly applied the finish, firing across goal into the far corner.
