GAOTH DOBHAIR lost out against Kilcar in Towney yesterday in an entertaining All-County Football League Division One fixture.
In the end, it was the hosts who won out 4-9 to 1-13. Gaoth Dobhair manager Conal Sheridan, a native of Omagh, could see positives in defeat for his side, who on Saturday travel to Ballybofey to take on Sean MacCumhaill’s in the RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta SFC.
Odhran MacNiallais (pictured above by Barry Cregg / Sportsfile) scored three points, while Donegal minor captain Michael Carroll also played well at centre-field, notching a goal and three points.
“Kilcar are one of the top teams in the county,” Sheridan said. “We will keep it positive this week. MacCumhaill’s are the team we’re looking at now. If we lose this we’re out.”
