Clodagh Gallagher from Gaoth Dobhair took the Gold in the 2017 School Games which were held in Loughborough University in England at the weekend.
Riding as part of the Ulster team she took first place in the Street Sprint Cycling event and also set a new course record time.
This is also the first ever Gold for Ulster Cycling at the School Games.
Clodagh is a member of the Triple A Cycling Club in West Donegal and is coached by Peter McBride.
She is also a member of the Cycling Ireland Talent Team 2017 and has worn the green jersey for Ireland at various events in the UK and overseas this year.
Next up for Clodagh is the Track Inter Regional Championships 2017 taking place in Edinburgh, Scotland 15th to 17th September, again as part of the Ulster team.
Clodagh has also recently won the Pink Jersey in her category at the Errigal International Youth Tour and has won three bronze medals at the National Track Championships and 3 bronze medals at the National Road Championships.
