Gaoth Dobhair’s win came on the main pitch, which was playable despite the incessant wind and rain.
Both the Magheragallon club and indeed St Mary’s deserve great credit for the spectacle they put on.
Gaoth Dobhair were 0-9 to 1-4 ahead at half-time, with the only goal of the half coming from Matthew Coyle.
At the start of the second half, Jason McDaid goaled again for St Mary’s to open up a one-point lead at 2-4 to 0-9. However, Aidan Ferry’s goal swung the game the way of Gaoth Dobhair.
