DONEGAL SPORT HUB was officially launched by Irish Athletics Team Manager Patsy McGonagle at Divers Hyundai in Letterkenny yesterday evening.
McGonagle will lead Team Ireland to the Olympic Games in Rio next summer. It will be the Ballybofey native’s fifth Olympic Games having also led the team at European and World Championship level.
Last month, he managed the Irish team for the 2015 World Athletics Championships in Beijing, China.

A large gathering from across the sporting fraternity were in attendance for the launch.
Donegal Sport Hub, founded in July by Charlie Collins, Chris McNulty and Alan Foley, is a sports website dedicated to sport in the county featuring interviews, podcasts, reports, breaking news and videos.
In its first nine weeks in existence, the site has attracted over 300,000 page impressions from 81,000 users.
At the launch, Cliffy Kelly was announced as the Sales Manager for Donegal Sport Hub.
“This website lets you know what’s happening, when it’s happening,” McGonagle said. “I’ve known Charlie, Chris and Alan for a long time now and I’ve seen their passion, their commitment and energy.
“They know the nature of covering sport means it isn’t a 9-5 job. We all want the news now and thanks to these three guys at Donegal Sport Hub we can get it.”
Denise Blake, a Letterkenny-based poet, recited ‘This is Donegal’, which encapsulated the mood of the evening.
