GAA PRESIDENT Aogán Ó Fearghaíl was on hand to officially open the new 3G astro turf pitch at Stramore National School yesterday.
Donegal footballer Frank McGlynn is a teacher in the school.
The school teachers, pupils, parents and the wider community gathered in force as their new facility was unveiled.

Minister Joe McHugh, Donegal captain Michael Murphy, Donegal goalkeeper Michael Boyle and McGlynn were present, as were members of the Termon and Glenswilly clubs, whose young members attend the school.
The project was part-funded by the Department of Gaeltacht through the Irish committee Coras Gaeilge Gleann Domhain and as a result of fundraising of Parents Committee of Stramore NS.
“The facility will be used by Stramore NS and by the community,” McGlynn said.
[adrotate group=”59″]“It is a facility for the community as it was a result of both the school and community working together.
“The GAA is at the heart of this community and we were delighted to have the President open it. It was a huge day for school as it has come from a one teacher school to a four-teacher school and now has excellent facilities.”
