DONEGAL HOSTED its first ever America Football match this afternoon as the Donegal Derry Vipers defeated Galway Warriors 34-0 at Colaiste Ailigh.
In just their second season in existence the Vipers’ latest win, moving them to 4-0 for the term, puts them into the Bowl game and has them looking forward to a move up to IAFL 1.
Colm Kelly, Danny Mullen, Nic Young Chris Tinney and Derm Brown scored touchdowns for the Vipers and Gary Melly nailed extra point conversions on four of the TDs.
The sight of the pitch marked out for gridiron certainly made for a curious environment at Colaiste Ailigh, but the couple of hundred who turned out weren’t to be disappointed.
