WITH IT BEING St Valentine’s Day, there’s a sense of romance in the air today.
In Ballyshannon this morning, the sun was shining for the ‘Snog and Jog’ that was a 5k organised by TÃr Chonaill AC, with proceeds going to the Rock and Sheil hospital patients comfort fund.
Liam Feely from North Leitrim was the winner of the event, in a time of 15 minutes and 21 seconds. Second place went to Ronan Matthew of TÃr Chonaill AC in 16:18, while Fergus McGirr of Omagh Harrier was third a further 10 seconds back.
Aisling van Rensbury from North Sligo won the women’s event in a time of 18:26 ahead of Margaret Sweeney from TÃr Chonaill. Here’s the full results:
