SEAMUS COLEMAN is set to be given the Freedom of Donegal.
Members of Donegal County Council had initially proposed that a Civic Reception be given to the Premiership star.
The 28-year-old Killybegs man has established himself as a top player in the Premier League now and has netted four goals for Everton this season.
Coleman, who was snapped up by Everton for a snip at £60,000 from Sligo Rovers in January 2010, has been linked to a move to Manchester United several times in recent seasons.

In 2016, he scored his first Irish goal in the 1-0 win over Georgia in Dublin.
Councillor Barry O’Neill had proposed that Coleman be given a Civic Reception ‘in recognition of his footballing achievements, including his captaincy of the Republic of Ireland soccer team.’
The Mayor of Donegal, Councillor Terence Slowey, has said that the Freedom of Donegal, will now be bestowed to Coleman.
