Dale Gorman’s season is over after the Letterkenny man was confirmed to have suffered a fractured right ankle on Friday night.
The Stevenage FC midfielder sustained the injury in Friday’s 3-1 defeat to Coventry at the Ricoh Arena.
The Northern Ireland U21 international came on as a half-time replacement for Matty Godden.
However, 15 minutes from the end, Gorman went down writhing in agony after what appeared an innocuous challenge in the middle of the park.
However, Gorman left the field on a stretcher and in some distress.
Gorman had the injury assessed over the weekend and the club say the former Letterkenny Rovers player has fractured his right ankle.
